Reeds Open Day at new premises Oct 2018

The first Open day at Reeds Prospecting new premises was a huge success with a full house despite the huge new shop! The club ran a raffle with prizes very generously donated by Reeds prospecting.

Gold Camp 2018 Reedy Area

The August camp was held near Reedy and was a great success with 32 out of 40 people finding gold! The weather was a little cool and one night got down to 2.3 degrees! We also experienced some very strong winds but no rain and luckily very few flies. Over 200 little gold nuggets under a gram were found, also quite a few between 8 and 18 grams very well done members. 

Easter Camp 2018 Kalgoorlie

Many thanks to everyone who helped organise the camp. The location was beautiful with a lake supplying us with fresh yabbies! We had a huge turnout with 75 members checking in with a range of tents, buses and caravans. Although only a few gold nuggets were found there was a lot of fun to be had with the horseshoe throwing competition, bush mini gold, Damper baking competition and a great treasure hunt with lots of donated prizes. On the party night we had lots of great performances from Poems, songs, musical instruments and even a surprise guest ELVIS PRESLEY showing up to serenade us all!

Easter Camp 2016 Kunanalling

 This was a very wet camp as it rained for 2 days! There were lots of great prizes for the treasure hunt and the rain stopped for us. John found his first gold nugget and Lief made everyone a bit jealous as he rode out to find gold nuggets on his electric bike. The theme for the fancy dress was Egyptian and there were some great entries. 

September Long Weekend 2015

The weather was beautiful, we had a Treasure Hunt , watched the western Derby on a portable tv setup and enjoyed lots of saussages and onions on the bbq!
